Remote insight from system data

Fix My Solar reviews available monitoring data to identify production changes, communication loss and equipment warnings. Remote access depends on the platform already connected to the PV system and the permissions available to the system owner. We support solar PV electricity systems across Ireland, not solar thermal or hot water systems.

Monitoring can help narrow the likely cause and establish when a problem began. It cannot replace electrical testing where the evidence indicates an inverter, battery, wiring, protection or isolation fault.

After the review, we explain what the data shows, what cannot be confirmed remotely and whether settings, manufacturer support or an on-site diagnosis should come next.

Expert Technicians

Skilled solar engineers ready to diagnose and solve any issue with precision.

Flexible Scheduling

Book a service time that suits you best, including evenings and weekends, and short notice.

Transparent Pricing

Clear, upfront pricing with no hidden fees - what we say is exactly what you pay.

Quality Parts

Replacement parts that match your system's specs and ensure long-term performance.

Escalation When Needed

When remote evidence indicates an electrical or equipment fault, we explain why an on-site assessment is required.

Actionable Findings

Monitoring observations are translated into a practical recommendation, without claiming that every fault can be resolved remotely.

What remote PV diagnostics can show

Production changes

Daily and historical generation can reveal when output changed and whether the pattern affects the whole system or only part of it. Weather, season and system availability must be considered before calling a change a fault.

Equipment warnings

Some inverter and battery platforms record warning codes, operating states and communication events. These records can guide the next checks, but they do not always identify the physical cause.

Missing communications

A blank monitoring screen can result from internet, Wi-Fi, data-logger, account-access or equipment communication problems. Loss of monitoring does not necessarily mean that solar generation has stopped.

Battery behaviour

Where supported, charge and discharge history can help identify schedules, reserve settings, metering anomalies and recurring offline periods. Battery condition cannot be confirmed from a single screenshot.

Before requesting a remote review

Send the inverter and battery brand and model, screenshots of the monitoring dashboard, the exact warning message, the date the issue began and your Eircode. You may also need to provide temporary platform access through the manufacturer’s normal sharing controls. Never send account passwords.

Can every solar fault be fixed remotely?

No. Remote data is useful for triage, configuration review and deciding what should be tested. Suspected electrical, isolation, wiring, connector, protection or internal equipment faults require an appropriate on-site assessment.
